Vicky Kaushal and Sara Ali Khan starrer Zara Hatke Zara Bachke are enjoying a successful run at the box office. The romantic comedy, directed by Laxman Utekar of Mimi fame, witnessed decent growth on its second day, accumulating collections of ₹7.20 crore. With a total of ₹12.7 crore in just two days, the film is now aiming for a weekend collection of approximately ₹22 crore.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the box office figures for Zara Hatke Zara Bachke on Twitter, stating that the film has brought relief to exhibitors with “House Full” boards returning. He also mentioned that the film has shown healthy growth and is expected to achieve an excellent weekend total for a mid-range film. On its opening day, Zara Hatke Zara Bachke garnered ₹5.49 crore, and its Saturday collections contributed significantly to the overall box office figure.

Adarsh further highlighted the film’s performance in national theater chains, stating that PVR recorded collections of ₹1.54 crore and ₹2.11 crore on the first and second days, respectively. INOX collected ₹1.11 crore and ₹1.50 crore, while Cinepolis accumulated ₹70 lakh and ₹94 lakh. These numbers indicate the film’s appeal to a wide audience and debunk the notion that mid-range movies should skip the theatrical window and opt for direct-to-digital releases.

Zara Hatke Zara Bachke has not only attracted footfalls in cinemas but also garnered positive reviews. The Hindustan Times review noted that the film, with a runtime of 132 minutes, managed to maintain a good pace without unnecessary dragging. However, it did have its highs and lows. While the film’s humor and comic punches were praised, the second half was criticized for lacking direction and deviating from the initial momentum.

The storyline of Zara Hatke Zara Bachke revolves around a middle-class couple residing in a joint family who aspires to own a separate apartment in a high-rise building. Their decision to plan a divorce forms the crux of the film, with the reason behind their separation unveiled as the story progresses. The film’s music has been well-received, with songs like “Phir Aur Kya Chahiye” and “Tere Vaaste” resonating with the audience.
