Behind the walls of Adiala Jail, PTI Chairman Imran Khan is spending his days studying and reading. The former prime minister, a graduate of Oxford University, has chosen to use his incarceration to explore history, politics, religion, and philosophy.

According to party sources, several books have been delivered to him by his lawyer, Barrister Salman Safdar, after approval from jail authorities.

The reading list includes some notable works: The Black Jacobins by CLR James, On Palestine by Noam Chomsky and Ilan Pappé, Reopening Muslim Minds by Mustafa Akyol, The Life of Salahuddin Ayyubi by Baha al-Din ibn Shaddad, Caliphate by Hugh Kennedy, and Lost Islamic History by Firas Alkhateeb.

Analysts say Khan’s reading choices highlight his interest in political struggles, leadership, and Islamic heritage. For the PTI leader, confinement has become an opportunity to learn and reflect, with books offering a connection to the wider world beyond prison.

Separately, legal developments around the Toshakhana case continued. A written order issued by Special Judge Central Shah Rukh Arjumand stated that authorized lawyers and immediate family members should be permitted to attend the trial hearings inside the jail.
