Veteran Indian actor Manoj Kumar, celebrated for his iconic roles in patriotic Hindi films, has died at the age of 87 due to heart-related complications, as confirmed by his son Kunal Goswami.

Kumar passed away peacefully on Friday in Mumbai, following a prolonged period of health issues.

“It’s the grace of God that he bid adieu to this world peacefully,” said Goswami. “His cremation will take place tomorrow [Saturday].”

Manoj Kumar, whose real name was Harikrishan Goswami, adopted his screen name in line with Bollywood tradition. He gained nationwide recognition for acting and directing films centered on national unity, pride, and patriotism.
