The postponement comes in observance of Youm-e-Takbeer, a national holiday commemorating Pakistan’s nuclear tests conducted on May 28, 1998, at Ras Koh hills in Chaghai, Balochistan. With these tests, Pakistan became the seventh nuclear power in the world and the first among Islamic nations.

The day marks a significant chapter in Pakistan’s history, reflecting its efforts to ensure national security and maintain strategic balance in South Asia. The Cabinet Division had officially designated May 28 as a gazetted holiday in its annual calendar issued last year.
