Sikandar Raza’s Brother Passes Away at 13

Sikandar Raza’s Brother Passes Away at 13

Zimbabwe T20I captain Sikandar Raza is passing through a very painful time after the death of his younger brother, Muhammad Mahdi. The sad news was confirmed by the Zimbabwe Cricket Board.

Zimbabwe Cricket shared the announcement on its official social media accounts. In its message, the board expressed deep sorrow and offered heartfelt condolences to Sikandar Raza and his family during this difficult period.

According to the statement, Muhammad Mahdi passed away on December 29, 2025, in Harare. He was only 13 years old. The board revealed that Mahdi was born with haemophilia, a serious medical condition, and sadly lost his life due to recent health complications.

The cricket board described Mahdi’s death as untimely and heartbreaking. It said the entire Zimbabwe Cricket family stands united with Sikandar Raza and his loved ones in their time of grief. Players, officials, and staff members have all shared their support for the captain.

The statement also mentioned that Muhammad Mahdi was laid to rest on December 30, 2025, at Warren Hills Cemetery in Harare. Family members and close relatives attended the burial.

Sikandar Raza is one of Zimbabwe’s most respected cricketers. He has represented his country with pride and passion for many years. Fans across the cricket world know him not only for his talent but also for his positive attitude and leadership.

Following the news, messages of sympathy and prayers poured in from fellow cricketers, fans, and sports lovers from different countries. Many expressed sadness over the loss of such a young life and prayed for strength for the grieving family.
