Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman announced on Thursday that the party will observe “Difa-e-Watan” (Defence of the Homeland) across the country on Friday.

In an official statement, Fazlur Rehman urged religious scholars and clerics to pass resolutions during Friday sermons condemning Indian aggression, calling it a matter of national and religious importance.

“We are united in the defence of our homeland and are ready to make every sacrifice,” he declared, emphasizing solidarity and unwavering commitment to Pakistan’s sovereignty.

He extended strong praise to the Pakistani armed forces, stating: “Our brave army stands strong and resolute in the face of the enemy to protect the nation.” He affirmed that the entire nation stands shoulder-to-shoulder with the military and that defending the homeland is not only a national duty but also a religious obligation.

Speaking on national unity, the JUI-F chief described the people of Pakistan as “a lead-lined wall,” ready to repel any threat.

“We are prepared to respond to any act of aggression,” he concluded.

The announcement comes amid rising tensions in the region, as political and religious leaders rally to demonstrate national solidarity.
