Residents of Taif have started early preparations to welcome the holy month of Ramadan. Across the city, families are cleaning and organizing their homes. They are also buying food and other supplies for the special meals and gatherings that bring relatives and neighbors together during the blessed month.
Neighborhoods now look bright and colorful. Traditional lanterns, crescent-shaped lights, and star decorations can be seen in many streets and houses. The festive atmosphere reflects both joy and strong cultural traditions.
According to the Saudi Press Agency, these preparations are an important part of local life. Women and children play a big role in these activities. They decorate homes with traditional fabrics, use incense burners to spread pleasant scents, and apply henna as part of the celebrations. These customs help keep Saudi heritage alive and pass it on to younger generations.
Meanwhile, the last quarter moon of Shaban was seen across the Kingdom on Sunday. Half of the moon appeared bright, while the other half was in shadow. At this stage, the moon has completed about three-quarters of its journey around the Earth.
The last quarter moon also attracts amateur astronomers and photographers. It offers a clear view of craters and mountains on the moon’s surface, making it a special sight before Ramadan begins.
