The Kuwaiti government has introduced new rules for its family visit visa, streamlining the process for Pakistani citizens hoping to reunite with loved ones. The updated policy outlines clear income and documentation requirements, alongside digital tools aimed at making the application process faster and more convenient.
Under the revised guidelines, financial eligibility now depends on the applicant’s relationship with the visitor. Sponsors seeking to bring immediate family—such as spouses, children, or parents—must earn a minimum of 400 Kuwaiti Dinars per month (approximately PKR 365,000).

For siblings and extended family, the income threshold rises to 800 Kuwaiti Dinars (around PKR 730,000), and may require further verification from Kuwaiti authorities.
To apply, individuals must provide a passport valid for at least six months, NADRA-issued proof of relationship (like a marriage or family registration certificate), and return flight tickets via Kuwait Airways or Jazeera Airways. For extended family, relationship documents must be translated into Arabic and officially attested.
Sponsors are also required to submit their Civil ID, work permit, and a signed affidavit promising that the visit visa will not be used to apply for residency (iqama).

Applicants must book an appointment through Kuwait’s Meta or Sahel mobile applications before presenting documents in person. Once approved and upon paying a 3 KD fee, a one-month visa is issued.
The move highlights Kuwait’s ongoing efforts to support expatriate families and promote tourism by providing a more transparent and structured visa process.
