Flydubai’s first-ever flight to Peshawar landed at Bacha Khan International Airport on Thursday night, marking the airline’s official launch of operations in the city. According to the Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA), the flight arrived with 164 passengers on board and was welcomed with a traditional water cannon salute.

To celebrate the occasion, a modest yet dignified cake-cutting ceremony was held at the airport, attended by officials and airline representatives.

The airline’s first outbound flight from Peshawar, FZ 375, departed for Dubai at 2:20 AM, carrying 184 passengers.

In a statement, the PAA noted that Flydubai will now operate daily flights from Peshawar—seven per week—creating greater travel convenience for passengers. The new service is expected to improve air connectivity not only with the Gulf region but also with European destinations via Dubai.

Authorities expressed optimism that the airline’s entry into Peshawar will help expand international travel options and support regional economic activity by making international routes more accessible.
