Pakistan is set to witness another day of oppressive heat on Tuesday, as forecasted by the Meteorological Department, with limited rainfall likely in a few northern and upper areas.

According to the department’s outlook, hot and humid weather will persist across Sindh, southern Punjab, and Balochistan. However, light showers and wind-thunderstorms are expected in parts of Upper Punjab, KP, and Azad Kashmir.

In the federal capital, afternoon and evening thundershowers are predicted, with surrounding areas likely to receive occasional heavy rainfall. Islamabad may also see brief cloud cover.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is expected to see rain in several districts, including Abbottabad, Dir, and Kohat. Upper areas may face brief but intense showers, potentially causing water accumulation in urban centres.

While Punjab will remain mostly hot, intermittent rainfall could bring some comfort to cities such as Lahore, Sargodha, and Multan. Northern spots like Murree may also benefit from the change in weather.

Sindh, particularly Karachi and its coastal belt, will continue to face high humidity. Skies may turn partly cloudy, but rain is not on the cards for now.

Balochistan will see similar conditions, although districts such as Khuzdar and Zhob could witness evening thunderstorms.

Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan may also receive scattered showers, with isolated heavy rainfall likely in some parts of Kashmir.
