The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has issued a weather advisory ahead of Eid holidays, warning travelers and tourists to remain alert due to possible rain and strong winds, particularly in northern areas.

According to the PMD, a weather system is expected to affect regions such as Dir, Swat, Chitral, and Kohistan, where rain is likely during the festive period. Upper and central Punjab, along with several areas in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, are forecast to receive rainfall and strong winds on June 3 and 4. The weather office has specifically warned that the incoming system could impact weak structures in hilly and mountainous areas.

Meanwhile, the central and southern plains of the country are expected to remain under intense heat throughout the Eid break.

The PMD has advised the public, especially those planning to travel or spend holidays in the northern regions, to stay informed through regular weather updates and avoid unnecessary exposure to harsh conditions.
