The PMD has warned of possible urban flooding in low-lying areas and landslides in northern and hilly regions. The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) of KP has issued a high alert, particularly for upper and central districts where heavy rain, strong winds, and landslides are anticipated.
The PDMA advisory cautioned that water levels may rise sharply in rivers including the Chitral, Swat, Panjkora, and Kabul, increasing the risk of floods. District administrations have been directed to remain on high alert and implement preventive measures.
Authorities have also urged the public to avoid unnecessary travel during the wet spell and exercise caution near rivers and water channels.
