The Pakistan Meteorological Department has predicted more rain in most parts of the country during the coming week. Moist currents from the Arabian Sea are entering the upper regions, while a westerly wave is expected to reach the northern areas from the evening of September 15 and last until September 19.

According to the forecast, rain with wind and thunderstorms is expected in several districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa including Swat, Dir, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Peshawar, Mardan, and Waziristan between September 16 and 19. In Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, scattered rainfall is expected from September 15 to 19, with chances of heavy rain on September 16 and 18 in some areas.
Punjab and Islamabad are also likely to receive rain and thunderstorms between September 16 and 19, particularly in Rawalpindi, Murree, Chakwal, and Jhelum, with Lahore, Sialkot, Faisalabad, and nearby cities expected to be affected on September 18 and 19. Meanwhile, Sindh and Balochistan are likely to remain mostly dry, with partly cloudy conditions in coastal areas.

The Met Office has warned of possible windstorms, hailstorms, and lightning that could damage weak structures, electricity poles, and billboards. There is also a risk of landslides in hilly regions and an increase in water flow in streams and nullahs in parts of KP, Punjab, and Kashmir. Citizens and tourists have been advised to remain cautious and follow updates.
