NMACC Launch: Celebrations

The Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre (NMACC) opened its doors for a three-day extravaganza celebrating Indian arts, culture, craftsmanship, and design. The event witnessed a blend of fashion and glamour with the attendance of celebrities from both Hollywood and Bollywood. Priyanka Chopra, along with singer Nick Jonas and their daughter, Malti Marie Jonas, was among the attendees who stole the limelight with her impeccable style.

On the second day of the event, Priyanka Chopra was seen in a stunning handcrafted outfit, which she described as an “upcycled vintage look with a modern twist.” The outfit was created by ace designer Amit Aggarwal using a 65-year-old vintage Banarasi patola saree with silver threads and gold electroplating on khadi silk, paired with a sequin sheet holographic bustier. The ensemble was an ode to Priyanka’s journey of being rooted yet ever-evolving.

Priyanka was not alone in her love for Banarasi silk. Other celebrities attending the event, including Saba Azad and Kriti Sanon, also donned beautiful outfits made from the same fabric. Kriti Sanon looked stunning in a black cut-out gown made from a black and gold Banarasi brocade saree, created by designer Monisha Jaising.

Apart from Banarasi, Paithani sarees also made an appearance at NMACC. Shraddha Kapoor wore a rouge-colored Paithani saree, which was stitched on a classic black fabric gown by Manish Malhotra. The ensemble was a beautiful fusion of traditional and contemporary styles.

NMACC also saw the presence of various international celebrities, including Gigi Hadid, Tom Holland, Zendaya, and Law Roach, who attended cultural events and fashion exhibitions. Gigi and Zendaya chose to wear Indian designers for the occasion, highlighting the popularity and global reach of Indian fashion.

The event was a celebration of Indian culture, craftsmanship, and design, showcasing the richness and diversity of the country’s heritage. The use of traditional fabrics like Banarasi and Paithani, fused with modern designs, was a testament to the country’s ability to evolve while staying rooted in its traditions.

In conclusion, NMACC was a successful event that showcased the beauty of Indian fashion and culture. The amalgamation of traditional and modern designs, the use of vintage textiles, and the popularity of Indian fashion among international celebrities made the event a grand success. The event was a reminder of the beauty and richness of Indian heritage and its ability to evolve with time.
