Telenor Pakistan recently held its inaugural “AI Day,” a full‑scale event showcasing how artificial intelligence is rapidly reshaping industries, fueling innovation, and equipping employees for tomorrow’s challenges. The day featured interactive workshops, tech expos, internal awards, and insightful panel discussions focused on the promise, responsibility, and ethical implications of AI in the workplace.

A highlight was the launch of “AI Verse,” a learning track designed to make AI accessible across roles—enabling employees from technical, operational, and customer‑facing teams to gain hands‑on experience. Workshops covered fundamental topics including prompt engineering, AI tool adoption, and real‑world problem solving. These sessions were designed to demystify AI and empower staff with actionable skills rather than abstract theory.

Telenor’s AI Day also served as a platform to present ongoing internal projects. From energy management tools to adaptive traffic routing, several initiatives aimed at operational optimization, customer personalization, and data‑driven decision making were showcased. An internal hackathon complemented these with over 100 teams submitting proposals aimed at improving service delivery, optimizing network load, and enhancing digital user experiences.

Company leadership emphasized that AI is no longer a distant vision but an immediate imperative. The CEO underlined that the foundation of innovation must rest on ethics, data privacy, transparency, and respect for human values. The CTO echoed this, noting that as AI becomes embedded in everyday operations, safeguards and accountability mechanisms are just as crucial as creativity and scale.

Through AI Day, Telenor Pakistan is charting a course where technology and talent grow in lockstep—driving innovation, inclusion, and impact. The event reaffirms the company’s commitment to continuous learning, internal capability building, and positioning itself as both a leader and steward in Pakistan’s digital transformation journey.
