Telecom regulator has taken action against Xtreme Solutions (Private) Limited, suspending its license for a month over non-compliance with key financial and administrative requirements.

According to the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), the company repeatedly failed to submit its audited financial accounts and clear its annual license fee, despite several written and electronic reminders. Officials stated that the license was suspended under Section 23 of the Pakistan Telecommunication (Reorganization) Act, 1996.

Xtreme Solutions had received a non-exclusive license in November 2010 to operate Data Class Value Added Services. However, PTA records show that the company missed the deadline of October 2022 to provide audited accounts for the fiscal year ending June 2022. Between October 2022 and January 2025, PTA sent multiple reminders, but no response was received.

A show-cause notice issued in January 2024 required the company to comply within a week and respond formally within 30 days. PTA also scheduled a hearing for May 2024, but officials said the notice returned undelivered and the company neither attended the hearing nor updated its address.

A final opportunity to comply was given until January 31, 2025. After reviewing the matter, a four-member committee concluded that Xtreme Solutions had breached licensing rules, leading to the suspension.

PTA said the license could be reinstated if the company clears dues and submits required documents within the suspension period. Otherwise, it warned, termination could follow without further notice. All telecom operators, including LDI, LL, TIP, and mobile services, have been directed to halt services to the company until further instructions.
