A delegation from the British Esports Federation held detailed discussions with the Pakistan Esports Task Force at the Prime Minister’s Office to shape the future of competitive gaming in the country.

Led by Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan, Chairman of the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme, the meeting aimed at laying the groundwork for recognising esports as an official industry in Pakistan.

The dialogue focused on policy development, industry regulation, and how to expand the esports ecosystem by including youth, educators, and tech professionals. Delegates expressed commitment to making esports a legitimate career option for Pakistani youth.

According to officials, there are plans to meet local game developers and national champions from games like PUBG and Tekken in the near future. These consultations will help fine-tune policies that support the gaming community and promote innovation.

It was also agreed that esports education and training must be expanded to include game animation, visual effects, and related technologies. This would provide academic backing for those wishing to enter the digital gaming world.

Additionally, the idea of linking the Digital Youth Hub with the esports initiative was discussed. The goal is to equip young Pakistanis with the tools and knowledge to participate in the global esports economy.

This collaboration marks a turning point in the way Pakistan views digital gaming—not merely as entertainment, but as a serious profession with economic and creative potential.
