Punjab’s flagship doorstep service initiative, Maryam Ke Dastak, has received more than 900,000 requests from citizens across the province, with over 700,000 already resolved, according to officials at the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB).

These figures were shared during a progress review meeting chaired by PITB Chairman Faisal Yousaf at Arfa Software Technology Park. The program, developed and managed by PITB, aims to deliver public services directly to people’s homes.

Officials confirmed that approximately 137,000 applications remain under process and are expected to be completed soon. The initiative has significantly increased citizen engagement and improved the speed of public service delivery.

Thousands of young individuals have also been registered as Dastak Facilitators—trained personnel who help ensure efficient delivery and coordination between the government and citizens.

Chairman Faisal Yousaf noted during the meeting that the program currently offers 76 essential services at citizens’ doorsteps. These include the issuance of documents such as domicile certificates, birth certificates, copies of FIRs, and property papers.

He highlighted the impact of the initiative, stating that it reduces the need for office visits, helps save time and money, and brings convenience to the people of Punjab. Citizens can access services through the helpline 1202 or by downloading the Dastak mobile app.
