Huawei has started pushing its August 2025 firmware updates to several of its popular devices. Among them are the Mate 50 Pro smartphone, as well as the Watch Fit 4 Pro and Watch D2 smartwatches.
The Mate 50 Pro is now getting the July 2025 security patch, arriving as EMUI 14.2.0.176. This update mainly improves system security and keeps the phone better protected from vulnerabilities.
Meanwhile, the Watch Fit 4 Pro and Watch D2 have begun receiving the August 2025 firmware, designed to enhance performance and system stability. The Watch Fit 4 Pro is being updated to HarmonyOS 5.1.0.121, and the Watch D2 is moving to version 5.1.0.20.

Huawei is gradually expanding its HarmonyOS 5.1 to more wearables across the global market. The update was recently seen on the Watch GT 5 Pro and is now being delivered to additional smartwatch models.
If the update hasn’t reached your device yet, don’t worry—it is expected to roll out in phases. Users are encouraged to check manually.
To update your Huawei smartphone, go to Settings > System and Updates > Software Updates. For smartwatches, open the Huawei Health app, select your device, and look for available updates.
