Melisek also acknowledged the significant contribution of Inamul Haq Khan, the President of the Pakistan Chapter of the Federation, in promoting the sport locally.

He noted that the game’s popularity in the country has grown steadily, and the World Cup will play a pivotal role in expanding its reach.

The World Cup will feature 12 or more teams, with the tournament set to take place at the end of the 14th South Asian Games, which Pakistan will host in January 2026.
