India has reached the final of the ICC Women’s World Cup 2025 after a stunning win against Australia in the semi-final. It was one of the most exciting matches of the tournament, where India successfully chased the biggest target in Women’s World Cup history.
Australia set a strong total of 339 runs, but India achieved it with 9 balls to spare, winning the match by 5 wickets. The star of the show was Jemima Rodrigues, who played an unforgettable innings of 127 not out off 134 balls. Captain Harmanpreet Kaur supported her brilliantly with 89 runs.
Deepti Sharma and Richa Ghosh also made important contributions of 24 and 26 runs to help India cross the finish line. For Australia, Kim Garth and Annabelle Sutherland took two wickets each, but their efforts weren’t enough to stop India’s strong batting performance.
With this victory, India has qualified for the final and will face South Africa on Sunday, November 2, 2025, at the DY Patil Sports Academy in Navi Mumbai.
Fans across the country are celebrating this historic win, as Team India moves one step closer to lifting the Women’s World Cup trophy.
