The World Championship of Legends (WCL) 2025 has hit another roadblock after the Pakistan Champions refused to accept a shared outcome in their abandoned match against the India Champions, escalating tensions in an already fragile tournament.

The high-stakes clash, scheduled for Sunday, was called off before the toss as Indian players reportedly chose not to participate, citing recent conflict between India and Pakistan as the reason. The decision led tournament officials to split the points between the two teams — a move Pakistan has strongly opposed.

According to sources, Pakistan’s camp is frustrated, arguing that the rules dictate forfeiture for any team that fails to show up. They believe India’s withdrawal should have automatically granted Pakistan full points, rather than sharing them.

The match was expected to be a highlight of the WCL, with arch-rivals facing off and fans worldwide tuning in. Instead, supporters were left disappointed, and questions have now emerged about the tournament’s fairness and governance.

Currently, Pakistan leads the standings with three points from two games, including a win over England. If awarded full points for the abandoned match, they would take a significant step toward securing a place in the final.

WCL organisers have yet to issue a final ruling, but growing pressure from Pakistan and rising scrutiny from fans may force a policy clarification soon.
