PCB Announces Venue for PSL X Opening Ceremony

The highly anticipated HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) X is set to begin with a spectacular opening ceremony at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium on Friday, April 11.

This marks the first time the venue will host the event.

The ceremony will begin at 7:00 PM, with the opening match scheduled for 8:30 PM, where the defending champions Islamabad United will take on the two-time winners Lahore Qalandars.

The six-team tournament will unfold across four venues: Karachi’s National Bank Stadium, Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium, Multan Cricket Stadium, and Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.

The grand final will be held at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium on May 18.

Fans can expect a vibrant and culturally rich opening ceremony at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.

The event will feature a series of performances by renowned Sufi singer Abida Parveen, cultural artist Ali Zafar, and contemporary performers Young Stunners.

The artists behind the PSL X anthem—Abrar ul Haq, Ali Zafar, Natasha Baig, and Talha Anjum—will also take the stage, adding to the excitement.

The night will be capped off with a stunning fireworks display, promising an unforgettable experience for attendees.

Over the course of the tournament, 34 matches will be played from April 11 to May 18.

Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium will host the most matches, including two Eliminators and the final. Rawalpindi will see 11 matches, including the first Qualifier on May 13. Karachi and Multan will each host five matches.

In addition, the tournament will feature three double-headers, two of which will take place on Saturdays and another on Labour Day, May 1, further enhancing the thrill of the event for fans across Pakistan.
