Turkish actor resemblance to Virat Kohli

A Turkish actor’s striking resemblance to cricket star Virat Kohli has caused a viral sensation across social media, captivating fans worldwide.

The conversation began when a Reddit user posted a photo of the actor, humorously captioned, “Anushka Sharma’s husband TV show debut,” referencing Kohli’s wife, Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma.

This likeness quickly caught the attention of social media users, many of whom admitted to mistaking the actor for the Indian cricketer at first glance.

One fan shared, “I couldn’t believe it when I saw Dogan Bey in Ertugrul—I genuinely thought it was Kohli in a Turkish series! The resemblance is uncanny.

” Another chimed in, joking, “I thought Kohli had secretly become an actor!” The light-hearted banter continued with one user quipping, “Nepotism has gone too far,” referencing the popular topic in Bollywood discussions.

This isn’t the first time a celebrity lookalike has captured attention.

A few years ago, Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma acknowledged her own resemblance to American singer Julia Michaels, which also went viral on social media.

As for Ertugrul, the Turkish historical drama, which aired from 2014 to 2019, it has garnered a massive global fan base for its compelling plot and cinematic excellence.

With its international popularity, it’s no surprise that even a Kohli lookalike appearing in the show would spark such a widespread reaction.

The show’s devoted followers and its cultural crossover have once again highlighted the unintentional connection between the worlds of cricket and Turkish television.
