Traffic plan for Rawalpindi during PSL revealed
MT Default Temp (66)

The City Traffic Police Rawalpindi has issued a detailed traffic management plan to handle congestion during the Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 10 matches at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.

With matches scheduled on April 11, 12, 13, 14, 16, 19 and May 7, 8, 10, and 13, authorities have outlined alternative routes, parking arrangements, and restricted zones to ease the flow of vehicles.

The measures are aimed at ensuring public safety and minimising disruption around the stadium.

Road closures and diversions will be implemented during team movements between Serena Hotel and the stadium, as well as during match hours.

Club Road traffic will be directed towards Srinagar Highway via Serena Chowk. Murree Road, from Faizabad to Double Road, will be closed completely on April 13 and May 17 from 5 PM to 11 PM.

On double match days, restrictions will begin at 11 AM and continue through the evening.

Traffic moving from Islamabad to Rawalpindi will be diverted to the Expressway at Faizabad, while vehicles heading to Islamabad from Rawalpindi will pass through 6th Road Chowk and Saidpur Road.

Commuters using 9th Avenue will be rerouted to IJP Road, and Stadium Road will be closed from 9th Avenue Chowk to Double Road during matches.

Although the Metro Bus service will stay in operation, stations at Rehmanabad, Khatam-e-Nabuwat, and Faizabad will temporarily shut down during match timings due to security measures.

Authorities have encouraged the public—particularly fans attending matches—to use public transport, follow diversion routes, and leave early.

Monitoring real-time traffic alerts is also recommended to avoid delays and adjust travel plans accordingly.
