Sidra Nawaz Shines in ICC Women’s World Cup 2025

Sidra Nawaz Shines in ICC Women’s World Cup 2025 Team

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced the Women’s World Cup 2025 Team of the Tournament, and Pakistan’s Sidra Nawaz proudly earned her place among the best. She is the only Pakistani player to be included in the star-studded lineup.

This year’s World Cup saw some incredible performances and new records. The team mainly features players from India and South Africa, two sides that dominated the tournament. India’s Smriti Mandhana, Jemimah Rodrigues, and Deepti Sharma all made it to the list after their brilliant performances.

South Africa’s captain Laura Wolvaardt has been named the captain of the Team of the Tournament. She had an outstanding run with the bat, scoring 571 runs at an average of 71.37 . The highest total ever in a Women’s World Cup. Right behind her was India’s Smriti Mandhana, who scored consistently and even hit a stunning century against New Zealand.

The ICC’s Team of the Tournament includes:
Smriti Mandhana, Laura Wolvaardt (c), Jemimah Rodrigues, Marizanne Kapp, Ash Gardner, Deepti Sharma, Annabel Sutherland, Nadine de Klerk, Sidra Nawaz (wk), Alana King, Sophie Ecclestone, and Nat Sciver-Brunt.
Sidra’s inclusion shows that hard work and dedication always get noticed, even when the team’s overall performance falls short. Fans across Pakistan are celebrating her achievement, calling it a proud moment for women’s cricket in the country.
