Peshawar stormed into the National T20 Cup final after a dominant semifinal victory over Abbottabad, driven by Sahibzada Farhan’s remarkable century and a strong bowling display at Iqbal Stadium.

Opting to bat first, Peshawar posted an imposing 243/3 in 20 overs, maintaining an impressive run rate of over 12 runs per over.

Sahibzada Farhan played a sensational knock, scoring 148 runs off just 72 balls, which included 10 fours and 12 sixes.

His aggressive approach laid the foundation for the massive total.

Waqar Ahmed contributed 34 runs, stabilizing the innings early on, while Maaz Sadaqat’s quick 31 off 17 balls ensured the momentum continued.

In the final overs, Muhammad Amir Barki added fireworks with an unbeaten 20 off five balls, striking at a staggering rate of 400.

Abbottabad’s bowlers found it difficult to contain the onslaught, with Shahab Khan, Yasir Shah, and Ahmed Khan managing one wicket each.

Chasing 244, Abbottabad showed initial promise, with Shahzaib Khan leading the charge with a brisk 53 off 43 balls.

Sajjad Ali Hashmi added a quick 37 off 22, keeping their hopes alive.

However, Peshawar’s disciplined bowling attack, led by Usman Tariq, Mohammad Imran Jr., Israrullah, and Iftikhar Ahmed—each claiming two wickets—restricted Abbottabad to 187/8.

With this emphatic win, Peshawar secured their place in the National T20 Cup final, setting up an exciting contest ahead.
