Police Officers Dismissed for Duty Refusal During Champions Trophy

The DIG of Police Operations dismissed 115 officers for neglecting their security duties during the Champions Trophy at Gaddafi Stadium.

Media reports confirmed that several Police officers either missed their shifts, refused duties, or were late on spots.

Reports revealed that among those were officers named Atiq, Zain, Ali, Sheeraz, Shan, Zubair, Adi, and several others.

Before the Champions Trophy matches, the department of Punjab Police had put in place strict security protocols.

A total of 12,564 officers and personnel were deployed across Lahore and Rawalpindi to ensure the smooth operation of the event.

Of this number, 7,618 officers were assigned to Lahore, while 4,535 officers were stationed in Rawalpindi.

Furthermore, 411 officers from the Special Branch were deployed to assist in securing both cities during the tournament.
