PCB Reveals ‘Luminara Trophy’ as PSL 10 Gears Up for Grand Kickoff

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has officially revealed the ‘Luminara Trophy’ ahead of the 10th edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), which is set to begin on April 11.

In a visually striking promotional video, filmed at Karachi’s coastal waters, a professional diver—assisted by the Pakistan Navy—retrieved a treasure chest containing the glittering trophy.

The event was attended by PCB chairman Mohsin Naqvi, franchise representatives, and cricketers such as Sarfaraz Ahmed and Rumman Raees.

Naqvi emphasized that unveiling ‘Luminara’ at sea was a reflection of PSL’s commitment to innovation and excellence.

He described the trophy as a symbol of the league’s legacy and promising future.

Weighing 10 kilograms, the Luminara Trophy is crafted from a single sheet of solid silver and adorned with 22,850 zircon stones.

Its name is derived from the Latin words ‘luminare’ (torch) and ‘lumens’ (light).

The 10th PSL season will kick off with Islamabad United facing Lahore Qalandars in Rawalpindi.

A total of 34 matches will be played across four cities, culminating in the final at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium on May 18.
