Four Pakistani top cricketers—Shaheen Afridi, Mohammad Rizwan, Haris Rauf, and Shadab Khan—have entered their names for the upcoming Big Bash League (BBL) draft, as confirmed by the league organizers.

They are part of over 600 international players who have registered for BBL 15 and the Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL 11) drafts, both scheduled for June 19. Among the notable entrants is Fatima Sana, the captain of the Pakistan Women’s team, who has registered for the WBBL draft.

The initial draft list includes prominent global names. Alongside the Pakistani stars, the BBL draft features players such as Shamar Joseph from the West Indies, Lockie Ferguson and Tim Southee from New Zealand, Sam Curran and Alex Hales from England, and Kusal Perera from Sri Lanka.

For the WBBL, several high-profile players have entered the draft, including England’s Heather Knight, Danni Wyatt, and Sophie Ecclestone, India’s Jemimah Rodrigues, South Africa’s Shabnim Ismail, and the West Indies’ Deandra Dottin.

BBL General Manager Alistair Dobson expressed optimism about the upcoming draft, stating that the involvement of international stars adds excitement and highlights the league’s growing appeal. He noted that the presence of players like Shaheen, Rizwan, and Ecclestone reinforces the BBL’s reputation as a top-tier global T20 competition.

The complete list of registered players, along with their draft availability, will be published soon.
