Pakistan started their Asia Cup 2025 campaign with a big 93 run victory over Oman in Dubai on Friday.

Batting first, Pakistan scored 160 for 7, with Mohammad Haris leading the innings. He hit 66 runs off 43 balls with seven fours and three sixes and shared an 85 run partnership with Sahibzada Farhan, who made 29 runs. Fakhar Zaman added 23 runs not out from 16 balls in the final overs. Oman’s bowlers Aamir Kaleem and Shah Faisal took three wickets each to keep Pakistan under pressure.
Oman’s batting collapsed while chasing and they were all out for 67 runs in 16.4 overs. Pakistan’s bowlers dominated as Sufiyan Muqeem took two wickets for seven runs, Saim Ayub two for eight, and Faheem Ashraf two for six. Hammad Mirza was the top scorer for Oman with 27 runs.

The win gives Pakistan a confident start before their high profile match against India in Dubai on Sunday.
