Shaheen Afridi, Saud Shakeel, and Kamran Ghulam have been penalised by the ICC for disciplinary breaches during an ODI against South Africa.

Pakistan secured a six-wicket victory, powered by centuries from Mohammad Rizwan and Salman Ali Agha, earning a place in the final against New Zealand.

However, the win in crucial encounter was marred by on-field tensions during the first innings of the game

In the 28th over, the left-arm pacer obstructed South African batter Matthew Breetzke, causing physical contact and a verbal exchange.

Afridi was fined 25 percent of his match fee for violating Article 2.12 of the ICC Code, which covers inappropriate physical contact during a match.

Additionally, Saud Shakeel and substitute Kamran Ghulam were penalised for their actions following the run-out of Temba Bavuma in the 29th over.

Their celebratory conduct, deemed provocative, resulted in a 10 percent match fee deduction under Article 2.5.

All three players received a demerit point but had no prior offences within the last two years. The sanctions were accepted by the players.
