Pakistan is set to kick off preparations for the upcoming tri-nation series and Champions Trophy, with a training camp scheduled at Ghani Glass Ground today.

This marks the first time the national team will train at the venue as they gear up for back-to-back international commitments this month.

The tri-series, featuring Pakistan, South Africa, and New Zealand, will commence in Lahore on February 8 with host taking on New Zealand.

Following that, the highly anticipated Champions Trophy will begin on February 19 in Karachi, with Pakistan facing New Zealand in the opening match.

Pakistan enter the competitions on a strong ODI run, having secured series wins against Australia (2-1), Zimbabwe (2-1), and South Africa (3-0).

PCB has announced a 15-member squad, opting for a lone specialist spinner, Abrar Ahmad, while omitting Noman Ali and Sajid Khan despite their recent Test performances.

Meanwhile, ticket sales for the India-Pakistan Champions Trophy clash saw an overwhelming response, selling out within an hour.

Over 140,000 fans queued online, but many missed out. Tickets for other matches remain available, while final sales open after the first semi-final.
