New Zealand fast bowler Matt Henry has been officially ruled out of the remaining T20Is against Pakistan due to a shoulder injury, New Zealand Cricket confirmed on Saturday.
The pacer, who was initially included in the squad despite his injury, will now focus on rehabilitation.
To cover for Henry, Zakary Foulkes, who was initially selected for just the first three matches, has been retained for the remainder of the series.
Foulkes made an impact with 1 for 11 in the opening game but remained wicketless in the second.
In another adjustment, Kyle Jamieson, who was named Player of the Match in the first T20I for his outstanding figures of 3 for 8 but struggled in the third game, conceding 54 runs without a wicket, has been omitted.
Will O’Rourke, who was originally part of the squad for the initial three games, has been brought in as his replacement.
Henry sustained his shoulder injury while fielding during the Champions Trophy semi-final against South Africa earlier this month, which ruled him out of the final against India.
Additionally, he has been dealing with a knee issue.
New Zealand leads the series 2-1, with the fourth T20I set for Sunday in Mount Maunganui, followed by the final game on Wednesday in Wellington.
