Karachi Kings have confirmed the appointment of fast bowler Hasan Ali as the team’s vice-captain for the upcoming 10th edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), a move aimed at strengthening their leadership group.

Hasan, who joined the franchise last season, quickly established himself as a key figure in the squad.

He finished PSL 9 as Karachi Kings’ top wicket-taker, claiming 14 wickets and earning recognition for his consistent performances and energetic presence on the field.

Regarded as a dependable performer under pressure, Hasan has delivered match-winning spells throughout his PSL career.

His ability to lead by example and motivate teammates both on and off the pitch has added to his growing influence within the team.

The Kings’ management appears confident in his leadership potential.

Team owner Salman Iqbal was reported as saying that Hasan represents the fighting spirit of Karachi and that his commitment and character made him the right choice for the role.

The franchise believes his promotion will not only enhance his impact on the field but also boost the team’s overall morale and performance.

Hasan will work closely with newly appointed captain David Warner as the Kings aim to bounce back from recent underwhelming seasons.

The team is focusing on a more balanced and unified approach ahead of the new campaign.

PSL 10 is set to begin on Friday, 11 April 2025. Karachi Kings will open their campaign a day later, facing Multan Sultans at the National Bank Stadium in Karachi.

With experienced leadership at the top and a renewed sense of purpose, the Kings are aiming to make a strong impression this season and challenge for the title.
