Islamabad United continued their flawless campaign in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 10, cruising to a seven-wicket win over Multan Sultans in Match 13 at the Multan Cricket Stadium on Wednesday.
Multan, who opted to bat first, posted a total of 168 for 5 from their 20 overs. Usman Khan held the innings together with a composed half-century, but support from the rest of the batting order was limited, keeping the score below a challenging total on a flat surface.
In response, Islamabad United chased the target with ease, sealing the match with nearly three overs remaining. The chase was anchored by opener Andries Gous, who delivered a commanding performance. The South African remained unbeaten on 80 from just 45 balls, striking six boundaries and clearing the ropes five times. His match-winning knock earned him the Player of the Match accolade.

This win marked Islamabad’s fifth in a row, strengthening their position at the top of the points table. With 10 points and a net run rate of +2.342, they are the only unbeaten side in the tournament so far and appear firmly on course for the playoffs.
Multan, meanwhile, suffered their fourth defeat in five games. With only two points and a significantly negative run rate, their campaign has been marred by inconsistency and missed opportunities.
Elsewhere in the standings, Karachi Kings hold second place with three wins in five games. However, their net run rate of -0.215 could come into play later in the tournament. Lahore Qalandars follow in third, while Peshawar Zalmi and Quetta Gladiators are separated only by run rate. Both sides, like Multan, have managed just one win so far.
