Ihsanullah, the young and lanky pacer, is setting his sights on becoming a world-class bowler and a regular member of the Pakistan team. Although he has recently garnered attention for his impressive performance against Afghanistan in the T20I series, he has no intentions of breaking Shoaib Akhtar’s record for the fastest delivery.

In a media interaction at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, Ihsanullah acknowledged Shoaib Akhtar as a legend and expressed his desire to bowl fast while focusing on maintaining a good line and length. His ultimate goal is to become a world-class bowler and help Pakistan win matches consistently.

After his outstanding performance against Afghanistan, where he took six wickets and emerged as the highest wicket-taker in the three-match T20I series, Ihsanullah has been retained in the T20I squad against New Zealand. Moreover, his impressive performance in domestic cricket has earned him his first call-up for the ODI squad.

Ihsanullah is aware of the importance of grabbing every given opportunity and aims to perform according to his strengths to help his team win matches. He has been working closely with Umar Gul, a former Pakistan pacer, to learn and improve his skills.

During the series against Afghanistan, Ihsanullah made headlines when he hit Najibullah Zadran in the jaw with his delivery. However, he quickly approached him and apologized in Pushto, showcasing his sportsmanship and respect for his opponents.

Ihsanullah’s focus on becoming a world-class bowler and a regular member of the Pakistan team is admirable. His recent performances have demonstrated his potential, and with his dedication and hard work, he can make significant contributions to the team’s success.
