Karachi Kings’ pacer Hasan Ali has drawn level with Wahab Riaz’s record for the most wickets in Pakistan Super League (PSL) history, becoming joint-highest wicket-taker in the tournament.

The 30-year-old fast bowler reached the milestone during Karachi’s match against Lahore Qalandars at the National Bank Stadium, where he produced a superb spell of 4 for 28 in four overs.

His wickets included Mohammad Naeem (7), Abdullah Shafique (6), Fakhar Zaman (76 off 47), and Sam Billings (19 off 10).

With this four-wicket haul, Hasan’s total PSL wickets rose to 113, matching Wahab’s tally. However, Hasan reached the figure in just 83 innings, compared to Wahab’s 87, making his achievement more efficient.

Hasan has shown promising form in the ongoing PSL season.

Despite a costly performance against Multan Sultans in the opener — where he gave away 44 runs for one wicket — he bounced back with a strong display against Lahore.

His return to rhythm has been timely for Karachi Kings, who are aiming to find consistency in their campaign.

Hasan’s early breakthroughs and ability to control pressure situations have strengthened the team’s bowling attack.
