Pakistani javelin thrower Arshad Nadeem returned to Lahore on Monday after securing a gold medal at the Asian Athletics Championships held in South Korea. He was warmly received at Allama Iqbal International Airport by his father, Muhammad Ashraf, alongside family, friends, and a large group of jubilant supporters.
The atmosphere at the airport was filled with celebration as fans gathered to honour Arshad’s latest international achievement. His father, while speaking to reporters, shared his joy and praised his son’s consistent efforts. He mentioned that Arshad had once again made the country proud through dedication and discipline.

He also acknowledged the support provided by Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, noting that the facilities made available to Arshad had played a key role in his success.
Arshad was not alone on his journey back — he was joined by fellow athletes Yasir Sultan and Shajar Abbas, who also represented Pakistan at the event.
Arshad’s latest victory adds to his growing list of accomplishments, further establishing him as a leading figure in Pakistan’s athletics scene and a symbol of national pride.
