The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has confirmed a cash reward of ₹58 crore for the Indian cricket team in recognition of their impressive victory in the 2025 Champions Trophy.

The team, led by Rohit Sharma, won all their matches in the tournament, securing their third title in the prestigious event’s history.

India’s dominance was evident as they breezed through the tournament, winning four consecutive matches.

They began their campaign with a six-wicket victory over Bangladesh in Group A, followed by another commanding win against Pakistan.

India topped their group with a 44-run victory over New Zealand, which led them to a semi-final clash with Australia.

In the last-four encounter, they secured a four-wicket win, setting up a final against New Zealand.

BCCI president Roger Binny expressed that the cash prize acknowledges the team’s unwavering commitment and excellence on the international stage.

He emphasized that this victory was a testament to the strength of India’s cricket ecosystem, with the U19 Women’s World Cup win earlier in the year further highlighting their cricketing success.

BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia praised the team’s hard work and strategic execution, believing that the win justifies India’s top position in white-ball cricket.

Rajeev Shukla, the BCCI vice-president, commended the players for their poise under pressure, asserting that their victory will inspire young cricketers across India.
