Pakistani cricketer Asif Ali has officially retired from international cricket, ending his career with the national team. The 33-year-old middle-order batter shared the news on Instagram, calling it the “greatest honor” to represent Pakistan.

Asif expressed gratitude to his teammates, coaches, fans, and family for their support throughout his career. He also remembered the personal tragedy he faced during the 2019 World Cup, when his daughter passed away shortly before the tournament.
Known for his explosive power-hitting, Asif played 58 T20Is and 21 ODIs, scoring 959 runs with three half-centuries.
He played crucial innings in Pakistan’s 2021 T20 World Cup campaign, including match-winning knocks against New Zealand and Afghanistan, helping the team reach the semi-finals. He was also part of the squad that finished as runners-up in the 2022 T20 World Cup.
