The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) has cautioned fans after unauthorised tickets for the Asia Cup 2025’s most anticipated match — India vs Pakistan — appeared online.
In a statement, the ACC stressed that official tickets have not yet been released and confirmed that all current sales are fraudulent. Supporters have been urged to wait for the council and the Emirates Cricket Board to make a formal announcement regarding authorised sales.
The September 14 match in Dubai has generated enormous demand, with many predicting that India and Pakistan could meet again in the Super 4s and possibly the final. Ticketing scams emerged amid this hype, prompting the ACC’s intervention.
India’s group fixtures include matches against UAE on September 10 in Dubai and Oman on September 19 in Abu Dhabi. Should they finish top of the group, all Super 4 matches will be played in Dubai. The final is scheduled for September 28 in Dubai.
Meanwhile, squad announcements have added intrigue to the build-up. India’s selectors retained Rinku Singh and Shivam Dube, while leaving out Shreyas Iyer and rising star Vaibhav Suryavanshi.
Pakistan, under coach Mike Hesson, excluded Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan from T20 duties, with Hesson noting Babar was working to improve his strike rate against spin.
The UAE, coached by Lalchand Rajput, will host both cricketing giants in what they hope could produce at least one surprise result.
