The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) found itself under scrutiny on Wednesday after deleting a social media post that had announced a crucial Pakistan vs UAE clash in the Asia Cup.
The now-removed post suggested that the two sides would meet in a knockout game, with the winner progressing to the next stage and the loser being eliminated.
However, the announcement was quickly taken down, leaving fans and analysts questioning the social media handling of ACC of the tournament schedule.

The deleted post added fuel to the controversy already surrounding the Asia Cup, as the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) continues to clash with global cricket authorities.
Sources confirmed that the PCB has written a second letter to the International Cricket Council (ICC) regarding match referee Andy Pycroft.
The PCB rejected the decision of ICC not to take action against Pycroft and reiterated its stance that Pakistan will not play in matches officiated by him.
The board argued that the ICC’s inquiry was incomplete, accusing it of failing to consult relevant stakeholders or examine all evidence.
