ISLAMABAD — At a high-profile gathering hosted by the Swiss Embassy in Islamabad, the Katadyn Group unveiled its latest water purification technologies to an audience of Pakistani NGOs and international aid organizations. The event, held on Tuesday, underscored the growing urgency of water accessibility and marked a strategic media and PR partnership between Katadyn and Markhor Times.

Johann Wille, General Manager of Katadyn, led the technical demonstration, detailing how the company’s products could serve communities facing water scarcity. Shahbaz Bukhari, Katadyn Group’s Country Manager for Pakistan, played a crucial role in organizing the event, ensuring engagement with key stakeholders and fostering discussions on sustainable water solutions.

Shahid Iqbal, CEO of Al-Khidmat Foundation, joined the discussion, alongside representatives from CARE International, Human Appeal, the Green Response Foundation, and the Human Development Foundation.

The event also drew high-ranking officials, including Swiss Ambassador Georg Steiner, Samman Islam, CEO of the Human Development Foundation, and Daud Saqlain, Country Director of Human Appeal. The discussion centered on water crises in Pakistan and beyond, with Katadyn presenting its portable and large-scale filtration systems as potential solutions.

“Water scarcity remains one of the most pressing challenges, not just in Pakistan but across the regions where we operate,” Saqlain noted.

Markhor Times serving as the official media and digital PR partner, played a pivotal role in shaping the event’s outreach. The publication managed media coordination, developed promotional materials, and amplified digital engagement.

“Katadyn is here with a mission, and it is an honor to be part of that mission,” said Ameer Ali Salman, founder of Markhor Times.

Katadyn echoed the sentiment: “We appreciate Markhor Times’ support and look forward to further collaboration.”

This event marks the beginning of an ongoing partnership, with both organizations committed to raising awareness and advancing water treatment initiatives in Pakistan. Follow Markhor Times for continued coverage of Katadyn’s initiatives and future developments.
