Woman Kills Husband, Niece in Lahore

A woman has been arrested in Lahore’s Baghbanpura area for allegedly murdering her husband and niece over suspicions of an illicit relationship between the two.

Police identified the victims as 50-year-old Shaukat and 16-year-old Shazia. According to initial reports, the suspect, Zainab, attacked both victims with a sharp-edged weapon. The motive is believed to be her suspicion of an inappropriate relationship between her husband and her niece.

Law enforcement and forensic teams arrived promptly at the scene, securing evidence and sending the bodies for post-mortem examination. The tragic incident has shocked the local community.

Officials said the Dolphin Squad responded to an emergency call made to helpline 15. Upon arrival, they were able to prevent the suspect from harming other family members and reportedly stopped her from attempting suicide.

A spokesperson for the Dolphin Squad confirmed that Zainab was detained at the scene along with the murder weapon. She was later handed over to Shalimar Police Station for further investigation and legal action.
