Police in Lahore’s Manawan area have killed Fraasat Ali, the prime suspect in a widely circulated robbery video, along with his accomplice Jon Shah, during an armed encounter.

According to officials, the suspects were involved in multiple serious criminal cases. The Counter Crime Department (CCD) Cantt team attempted to arrest them, but the men allegedly opened fire, prompting police to return fire. SHO Atif Zulfiqar narrowly escaped injury as bullets struck his bulletproof vest.

Just days earlier, Fraasat Ali had forcibly snatched gold earrings from an elderly woman in Ghaziabad before fleeing. The incident, captured on video, quickly went viral on social media, prompting Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz to order an immediate arrest.

Police sources reported that both Fraasat Ali and Jon Shah had extensive criminal histories and were wanted in connection with several robbery and theft cases in Lahore and other districts. Authorities say further investigations are underway to trace their network.
