The Sialkot Express resumed operations this week after a 12-year suspension, receiving a festive welcome at the Sialkot Railway Station. The relaunch of the service was marked by joyous scenes, including traditional drum performances, dancing, and a shower of flower petals on the train as it arrived.
The revival of the train fulfills a long-standing public demand from the residents of Sialkot, who had repeatedly urged for the return of this critical rail link. Local officials and commuters hailed the occasion as a significant step toward improving regional connectivity and easing travel between key cities.
