The Sindh government has officially raised the minimum monthly wage to Rs. 40,000, with the new rates taking effect from 1 July 2025. The decision has been outlined in a formal notification issued under the Sindh Minimum Wages Act, 2015.
The revised wage structure introduces varying pay scales based on skill levels. Under the updated rates, semi-skilled workers will now earn a minimum of Rs. 41,380, while skilled workers must be paid at least Rs. 49,628. Highly skilled workers are entitled to a monthly wage of no less than Rs. 51,745.

The notification also sets the minimum hourly wage at Rs. 192. This standard applies across both public and private sector organisations operating in Sindh.
The province had previously set the minimum wage at Rs. 37,000. The latest increase represents a push by the provincial government to help workers cope with soaring inflation and improve their purchasing power.
