Karachi – Sindh Governor’s House set a new world record with a spectacular fireworks display lasting one hour and 16 minutes during Independence Day celebrations. The record-breaking event combined dazzling pyrotechnics with live musical performances, creating a festive atmosphere for thousands of spectators.
Asia’s largest stage was set up inside the Governor’s House for the celebrations, featuring performances by renowned singers Kaifi Khalil, Ali Zafar, and Atif Aslam, who thrilled the audience with their live acts. Citizens gathered in large numbers to witness the historic event, cheering for both the music and the mesmerizing fireworks.

Efforts were made to officially register the display with Guinness World Records, with foreign representatives present to validate the attempt.
Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori commented on the occasion, saying the record-breaking display sent a strong message: “We have shamed [Indian Prime Minister] Narendra Modi before the world.” MQM-Pakistan leader Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui added, “We broke the world record in fireworks, and even India knows such a long display could turn into a volcano.”

The Independence Day celebration at the Governor’s House will be remembered as one of Pakistan’s most spectacular and record-setting events, showcasing both patriotism and creativity on a grand scale.
