The Government of Sindh has issued a fresh directive ahead of Eid ul Adha, reinforcing its code of conduct for the collection of animal hides to prevent misuse and ensure transparency.
According to a notification from the Sindh Home Department, no individual or group will be allowed to collect hides without prior approval from the relevant Commissioners or Deputy Commissioners. The order emphasized that only registered charities, madaris, and welfare organizations will be granted permission, while banned outfits or their affiliates would not be entertained under any circumstances.
In an effort to maintain order, the notification also prohibited the establishment of camps and use of banners for hide collection. Additionally, the use of flags and loudspeakers on vehicles or buildings for promotional purposes has been banned.

Authorities warned that any group violating these conditions would have their collected hides confiscated. These hides would then be handed over to officially permitted organizations by district administrations.
Law enforcement agencies, under instructions from local authorities, may conduct random checks and inspections to ensure compliance. The Sindh government reiterated its commitment to upholding security and transparency during the Eid festivities.
